Disc Nucleoplasty

Disc Nucleoplasty is a treatment to contain your herniated discs. It comes under the category of minimally invasive treatment because it follows a simple yet effective procedure. It involves focusing radiofrequency waves using a catheter-like device on the herniated disc which dissolves small amounts of spinal disc tissue. Once we reduce the disc, there is less pressure on the surrounding nerves and therefore lower back and leg pain is relieved.

The procedure requires a local anesthetic and light sedative with the patient awake. The entire disc nucleoplasty process takes 30 minutes or less. The patient is free to walk out of the clinic in an hour and resume his daily life with minimal or no pain.
